~AK-Is-Harmless tagged me with this so it’s as good a reason as any to post my first journal in many months!

Post ten facts about my art and/or related areas:

1) My first stikfas was a christmas present back in 2002.

2) It was a black military alpha male, who is now the hero of Planetside.

3) The robot from Issue 7 & 9 (I swear he will make an appearance soon!) is painted to match the uniform of a coffee bar I used to work at. He had magnets on his feet and stood on top of the coffee machine holding signs like ‘$2.50 Flat White’ and ‘The end of the world is nigh!

4) I’ve used Stikfas in 4 print-media assignments so far at university.

5) Each issue takes about 2-3 hours from initial idea to completed comic.

6) I use black and white mainly because the ‘background’ is yellowish/brown cardboard from the box our TV came in.

7) I once animated a short (15 second) film using ‘Joe’. It took me 6+ hours and taught me even greater respect for stop motion animators.

8) As much as I would love to have these printed in some way, the thought of re-photographing every single frame and remaking the series in 300 dpi (as opposed to its current 72 dpi) makes my vision blur.

9) ’Stikfas’ is both singular and plural. I have one stikfas, you have 10 stkfas.

10) A G1 Beta Female is 4mm shorter than a G2 Alpha Male. How’s that for useless information!
